System receives Captis Member Engagement Award

Main Line Health was recently honored with the 2024 Captis Member Engagement Award, presented at the Captis Conference in Minnesota. Patrick Ross, MD, PhD, Chair of Surgery for Main Line Health, accepted the award on behalf of the System, which recognized its adoption of Captis membership to achieve savings across the continuum of care.

Captis is a collaborative, member-driven and owned group with more than 100 health systems in its portfolio — including Main Line Health. Backed by Mayo Clinic Supply Chain and Vizient, Inc., Captis offers its members access to centralized sourcing and contracting services with more than 300 agreements in place.

Captis is one of the many efforts aligned to Main Line Health’s Performance Excellence initiatives, focused on standardizing processes in a cost-effective way without sacrificing quality of care.

Orthopaedic Surgery Center at Bryn Mawr Hospital recognized by U.S. News & World Report

The Orthopaedic Surgery Center at Bryn Mawr Hospital has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report in its inaugural Best Ambulatory Surgery Centers ratings. Outpatient surgical centers were evaluated based on objective, risk-adjusted measures of their patients’ outcomes, including how successfully they avoided complications, ER visits, unplanned hospitalizations and other undesirable outcomes. Fewer than 15% of 5,000 evaluated facilities earned a “High Performing” rating.
