Patrick Prior, MD

Dr. Prior is a general cardiologist specializing in all aspects of heart health for adults. An important part of his practice is the use and interpretation of imaging tests to evaluate, diagnose, and manage heart disease, including advanced forms of echocardiography, cardiac computed tomography (CT), and nuclear imaging of the heart. He does not perform invasive procedures or surgery but works closely with physicians who specialize in these areas to make sure patients receive any advanced care they may need. Much of Dr. Prior practice is dedicated to caring for people with or at risk for common heart and vascular (blood vessel) disorders such as coronary artery disease, high cholesterol levels, high blood pressure, valvular heart disease, abnormal heart rhythms, and heart failure. He has a particular interest in evaluating and managing disorders of the heart valves. Dr. Prior strives to involve patients in their own heart care, and he believes in personalizing care plans so they have the best chance of success. This may mean taking a slower or simpler approach to treatment if that works best for a patient.
