About
Andrew J. Abramowitz, MD
Dr. Andrew Abramowitz, in practice for 20 years now, received his MD and completed his orthopedic residency at Boston University. He also completed his fellowship at Gillette Children's Hospital and the Minnesota Limb Length Deformity Center. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America and the American Academy of Developmental Medicine Cerebral Palsy. Dr. Abramowitz chose to treat children because they are genuine, fun and interesting. Working with children brings out the kid in me and I enjoy talking with them and taking care of them and their families. They are never boring and the conditions they have are vast and varied. He finds it rewarding to working with them every day. He treats them with the comfort and compassion of a private practice physician combined with the excellence and expertise of an academic physician. Dr. Abramowitz is currently working on research involving accelerated weight bearing rehabilitation in ambulatory cerebral palsy patients who have undergone bone surgery in the settings of both single event multilevel (and single level) surgery.
