Shelly Buck
President of Ambulatory and Professional Services
As President of Ambulatory and Professional Services, Shelly leads the continued growth and integration of the System's ambulatory, emergency medical services and professional services, ensuring these areas remain a strong foundation for Main Line Health's future.
Before her promotion to President of Ambulatory and Professional Services, Shelly served as President of Riddle Hospital. Shelly's leadership has been marked by strength and resilience, most notably during the closure of Crozer Health. Through her steadfast leadership, Shelly guided Riddle Hospital through the challenge with focus and compassion while also ensuring patients and the Delaware County community impacted by the closure had uninterrupted access to high-quality and equitable care. Shelly also played a pivotal role in the successful opening of the Riddle Hospital Pavilion in 2023, a state-of-the-art facility that expands access to advanced care and enhances the patient and family experience.
In addition to her leadership as Riddle Hospital's President, Shelly's other key responsibilities included serving as System executive of the women's health and senior health services service lines, as well as EMS/transportation services.
Prior to joining Main Line Health, Shelly served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Nursing Officer at Wellspan York Hospital, where she focused on aligning the team to implement a shared governance structure to apply for Magnet designation. Before that, Shelly held a series of roles with increasing responsibility at Bon Secours Health System, ranging from nursing leadership to chief operating officer. During these 13 years, Shelly experienced a wealth of leadership challenges that she successfully tackled, including significantly reducing staff turnover and developing a culture of innovation and transparency that resulted in an enhanced patient experience, as well as significant operational improvements.
Shelly received her Doctor of Nursing Practice in Executive Leadership degree, from Old Dominion University, a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University.
