During my medical training, a mentor once told me: the best way to care for your patient is to care ABOUT your patient. This advice has guided me ever since. It inspires me to do my best to understand what my patients are going through mentally and physically, to work hard to diagnose and explain their condition, and to a craft a care plan specific to their needs and situation. I strive to develop trusting relationships with my patients so they feel comfortable and secure in coming to me for help.
