Paoli Hospital One Day Prepared Childbirth

This one-day class is an alternative for couples who are unable to attend the three-week series due to time constraints or fluctuating schedules. The content is the same as the Prepared Childbirth series, but taught in an accelerated fashion.

A tour of the labor/delivery/maternity area is also included.

You should bring 2 bed pillows to the class. There will be a break for lunch, but lunch is not included in the registration fee. You may bring a lunch or purchase something in the cafeteria.

When registering, please use the mother's name and date of birth.

Bariatric Informational Sessions

A weekly informational session on bariatric weight loss solutions. Sessions will be held by the surgeon and nurse coordinator. Different weight loss surgery options will be discussed along with risks, benefits, and who qualifies

The AARP Driver Safety Program is the nation’s first and largest refresher course for drivers’ age 50 and older that has helped millions of drivers remain safe on today’s roads.

You can expect to learn about current rules of the road, how to operate your vehicle more safely in today’s increasingly challenging driving environment, and some adjustments to common age-related changes in vision, hearing, and reaction time.

Riddle Memorial Hospital - Safe Babysitter Class

The instructor will discuss the natural progression of labor and delivery, provide information on labor including medication and anesthesia options, discuss the role of support person, prepare participants for the possibility of cesarean birth, and provide a tour of the labor/delivery/maternity area.

Breast Surgery Class

This class will provide a step-by-step overview of what to expect when undergoing breast surgery, from the day before the procedure to your discharge. You will be given a tour of the hospital and will have an opportunity to ask questions of the post-op nurses. Patients are encouraged to bring their significant other.

This class takes place on the first and second Wednesdays of every month at Bryn Mawr Hospital.

Are you an adult who wants to quit smoking? SmokeFREE is a self-management program, which addresses the physical and psychological addiction to smoking. SmokeFREE is a state-approved smoking cessation program that has been in existence since the 1980s. Our qualified instructors will continue to follow-up with you by telephone offering support and encouragement throughout the smoking cessation process.

SmokeFREE is a six-session course that meets during a one month timeframe. The course:
Focuses on developing and meeting small, achievable goals and on establishing new, positive health behaviors to replace smoking
Emphasizes self-awareness and self-management in order to teach you how to tap into your own resources to overcome the smoking habit
Provides important information on nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) and alternative methods to quitting smoking
