Addiction

Mirmont Treatment Center, part of Main Line Health, recognizes the importance of drug and alcohol rehabilitation that treats the individual, not just the symptoms of addiction. While traditional and integrative therapies are key components of our treatment method, it is our empathetic mind-body approach to recovery that makes us unique.

We are wholly dedicated to empowering patients to achieve lifelong recovery.

Addiction levels of care

The multidisciplinary team of physicians, registered nurses, nurse practitioners, psychiatrists, therapists and pain management experts at Mirmont Treatment Center specialize in the treatment of alcohol and drug dependency and are deeply committed to the success of each patient.

Inpatient rehabilitation

Inpatient rehabilitation provides the most intensive level of structure and support. Our medically monitored, inpatient drug and alcohol detox treatment is specifically tailored to individual patterns of substance use. The process is gradual and aimed at significantly reducing withdrawal symptoms. Led by a board-certified psychiatrist, our team of experts work collaboratively to develop and implement the most effective, individualized treatment plan for each patient.

Partial hospitalization services

The Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is structured and designed for patients directly following discharge from hospitalization due to substance use. This program is for those needing a higher level of care but who do not require 24-hour inpatient care and will help individuals to build skills and gain stability.

Intensive outpatient services

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) provide the structure and frequency found in inpatient programs, but do not require 24-hour inpatient care. IOPs are designed for those in need of more support than once-weekly therapy. In a supportive environment that includes individual treatment planning, our team helps patients develop skills, attitudes and behaviors for living a healthy life.

Outpatient services

Outpatient therapy can take the form of individual counseling to explore the issues associated with early recovery or participation in a weekly group session led by a skilled facilitator. In the group environment, patients are supported by their peers who are also learning to live without drugs and alcohol, while receiving support from friends and family. In addition, it includes services like medical consultations or psychiatry during regularly scheduled sessions.

Inpatient psychiatric care

The Inpatient Psychiatric Unit at Bryn Mawr Hospital provides care for adults (age 18 and older) struggling with mood, anxiety and thought disorders, co-occurring substance abuse or addiction and other psychiatric conditions. Treatment begins with comprehensive psychiatric and physical evaluations, then a personalized program is developed.
